Mission Statement

The mission of the Columbia Association is to enhance the quality of life for people living or working in Columbia and to ensure that Columbia remains an open, integrated and caring community. The Columbia Association is committed to providing quality service, striving for improvement and excellence and to being responsive to the needs, interests and priorities of the community.

To fulfill that mission the Columbia Association will strive to:

·         Encourage Citizenship. The Columbia Association is committed to encouraging and facilitating residents' involvement in the community.

·         Foster the Growth of Individuals. The Columbia Association is committed to offering a wide range of cultural, recreational and community service programs and facilities designed to make living in Columbia an enjoyable and enriching experience.

·         Respect the Land. The Columbia Association is committed to developing, maintaining and preserving its open space as a valued resource for future generations. The Columbia Association will manage its open space in a manner that will preserve natural areas, instill an appreciation of the environment and encourage its use.

·         Maintain the Aesthetic Environment. The Columbia Association is committed to maintaining Columbia's aesthetic quality of life by developing its own facilities with rigorous attention to design quality and by promoting and enforcing the architectural covenants.

·         Provide the Best Working Environment for its Employees. The Columbia Association is committed to being a respectful and equal opportunity employer and to promoting the staff's development and growth.

·         Ensure the Corporation's Financial Integrity. The Columbia Association is committed to managing its finances judiciously to assure its continuation as a valuable community resource.
